"Now that I know the personality style of my colleagues, I don’t take differences personally and can accept them the way they are. This learning in Personal Effectiveness for Leaders has taken us onto another level of personal relationship.

After the training, fellow principals saw each other in a different light and it made the working relationships easier and the workplace happier.

Ever since the course, I became very conscious of how important it is to plan specifically for each day and for the week. Previously I would only plan for the month without going into the specifics. I have also learned to distinguish between what is important and what is urgent.”

“In the past, we experienced some level of inconsistency with food preparation and service standards. This resulted in confusion and frustration for both our customers and staff who were sent to help out in other outlets. However, things are not the same now. With OJT blueprints, we are structured and consistent in our training. We set up every outlet with the same rigor; the leading team sets the standard and pace (according to the blueprint) for the rest to follow. Now, not only are we proud that we have established a service culture, the increase in compliments and reduction in complaints are also a treatment to the success of the project.”

After attending the Executive Development and Growth for Excellence (EDGE) module, I reviewed how I could involve my team in understanding the process flow within the company and then craft new goals. The team was in awe of the entire process and marvelled at how the exercise was meaningful to them. Most importantly, everyone was motivated to learn while having FUN. Bonds were strengthened within and across departments and totally surpassed my expectations.”

I recalled with clarity the usefulness of reading and profiling guests according to their behavior traits, a skill I have gained from one of the workshops. That tool has helped me in handling guests at the Front Office since.
